DADD fully supports the concept of community
integration and defines community integration as a
process by which individuals with intellectual and
developmental disabilities (IDD) become fully
participating members of their communities. The
principles of community integration are particularly
relevant to social recreational and leisure activities
for people we serve and support. Social recreational and leisure activities play a vital role in promoting community integration and provides ideal opportunities for acquiring functional skills needed to engage as independently and confidently as possible in social recreational and leisure pursuits.

SOUL (Social Opportunities for Ultimate Living) provides support for adults to
experience more fulfilled, balanced lives while engaging in fun fulfilling leisure and
recreational experiences.
The goals of this low-staff-to-participant-ratio social recreation program are:

* To provide opportunities for participants to experience enjoyment and engage in
diversionary pursuits while taking responsibility and control of the social leisure
and recreational aspects of their lives.
* To provide community integration training, self- advocacy & self-reliance training
